Metal Infused Porcelain Crowns
Metal infused porcelain crowns substructure is composed of chrome, cobalt, and nickel metals and then topped off with porcelain material which resembles teeth.
In aesthetic dentistry, these materials are not used for teeth that show when the patient smiles but more in posterior areas. The metal part in the substructure is not light-permeable. Therefore does not look natural like zirconia or Emax crowns but their prices are relatively cheaper than zirconia/Emax crowns. Therefore, an option for some patients.
